Golden Sheep

An ewe, golden, aloof, and carefree, glances onward while within a three pointed frame. What is she looking at, might you wonder?

I've become more and more intrigued with the animals less spoken of nowadays. It's always about the ferocity of a man-eating tiger, or about the venom of a snake, the agility of a falcon, so on and so forth. We romanticize these traits in animals, and sometimes even compare ourselves to the likes of those traits to feel a little bit of identity. What about the mellow spirit of farm animals? Chickens, cows, sheep? Among others, their intelligence, understanding, and empathy is something that most people will not find worthy of a second glance. When I think about the reality that they cooperate with in order to sustain us, and how well they take it(sometimes despite not knowing), I find myself feeling sentimental and intrigued by them. While they may not have the reputation of loyalty and undying love that dogs do, it's been proven that they're just as smart, and can be just as affectionate.
