Things about life, as it is!

Welcome to my about page! Here, you will find a lot of jokes, a little slice of life, and some nonsense that always manages to find its way in, but that's only in character.

I live in Salem, MA, a place renowned for it's Halloween-y splendor in the fall months, year-round tourists, and a lovely, diverse city with a flair for the arts. Living here has always been a pleasant experience. Between the bustling, downtown areas, and the nearby beaches and parks, there's never been a complaint of anything- aside from the occasional roadwork.

As of last year, I've been attending Montserrat College of art! It's been an exciting leap between highschool and college, and the journey here has all been worth it. A lot of consideration has gone into what I want to be, what I want to do from this point forth... And I'm absolutely certain that my core lies in creation. Thanks to the unique classes and curriculum I follow, I've been able to experiment with loads of different media, concepts, and otherwise unique ways of approaching my works. New perspectives are always fun to experience, and I highly encourage any, and everyone out in the world to consider this point very seriously. We only know what we know, and it's never everything we should know. You know?

More personal things!

Fantastic beasts, nature, space, the laws of the universe, poetry, the complex inner workings of the mind and body? Yup. That's everything, and that's something I find myself fascinated with on a daily basis. Not a day goes by without bombarding someone close to me with random facts about an animal, or the human body. I'm obsessed with nature, the laws of life, and how they influence the very universe. My highest of fixations would have to be with the animal and plant kingdom! I love to explore the different species and variants that this single, relatively small planet(at least in comparison to some others) can house. I'd like to dabble more in this given the opportunity, and I feel that soon, I'll focus on it a bit more than other things.

In terms of fantasy, I just take everything I talked about in the above paragraph and put my own twist on it. Sometimes I draw inspiration from ancient legends and myths, though peculiarly enough, not too much of it resonates with the achievments of humans, or the depictions of their gods. It's always to do with the world, or the fantastic creatures that it bore, seemingly with no explanation. Dragons, in particular, were what I started with, ever since I could hold something to draw or color with. Something about their various forms, their biology, and their prowess had captivated me. I'd call dragons my first obsession, if it wasn't for the ocean.

I thank my dad for raising me to love the ocean, and water as what it is. It holds a surplus of life that flow in elegant systems together, seemingly flawlessly. The feeling of the waves tossing me gently, flowing beneath me as I float, has long been embedded as a kind of sacred feeling to me. The rush of water pushing my hair back, soothing my skin as I dive to the bottom to check out what's living there? That's never going to leave me. That being said, the current state of things involving the ocean is somewhat of a pain for me to hear about. A place that heralds such life and beauty is being tarnished by our abuse of plastics, cans, oil and other wastes. There's no other way to describe it, and the situation will be difficult to alleviate.

On a lighter topic, I can also tie my love of nature to the way life can flourish in the very ground it supports, between the rocks, beneath seas, rivers, within other forms, on and beneath, everywhere it can reach. Plants as a whole are a huge inspiration that I'd like to explore more of- Need I mention my entire plant wall in the hallway? Jungles and kelp forests have to be my favorite of the sort. Where it can, life will flourish, and life will flourish beautifully.

There will be more to come... Soon >:3
